Managing Director Horlando Duque has 40 + years experience in fine dining. He is experienced in restaurant openings and off premise catering. He has been a General Manager in the Houston Metropolitan area for well-established fine dining restaurants for over 30 years.
Horlando’s vast catering experience enables him to uniquely understand and anticipate guests needs. He has a keen sense of perception and makes suitable recommendations with a consultative approach. Understanding food and wine pairing, along with a focus on guest satisfaction has lead him to establish long lasting client relationships.
Notably, Horlando was nominated for My Table 2015 Houston Culinary Awards Service Person of the Year.
Executive Chef James Nakayama is a native Houstonian, and has also lived in Louisiana, Alaska and California. His Japanese-American mother was born and raised in South Texas. Growing up in Houston, James' family holidays were just as likely to include sushi or sashimi as they would tamales or BBQ.
Chef Nakayama honed his skills in such notable Houston kitchens as benjy's in the Village, Houston Four Seasons Hotel, Jackson & Company(Jackson Hicks) Catering, Perry's Steakhouse, A Fare Extraordinaire and Churrasco's.
James has also been a culinary consultant, opening 6 kitchens in the Houston area and 1 in Nashville Tennessee. He has over 20 years experience as an executive chef or culinary consultant and is well versed in a wide range of cuisines.
